A pre-Dragon Ball/pre-cataclysm saga for the Namek-jin. There are a few related fics that I have included below along with the main chapters. This story is unfinished at the moment, though I do hope to complete it someday.

Summary:

Katatsu and Mushi are two ordinary Namek-jin... sort of. A traditionalist and a misfit, they are friends in spite of their differences. But changes are coming quick to their home and lives. Fate takes them, and their people, down a road they never expected to endure.

Chapters:

Chapter 1
An introduction to many of the principal characters. Katatsu has an odd vision. Mushi muses on his situation but still manages to annoy the elder a bit.

Chapter 2
A martial arts tournament is coming and Katatsu is excited! But who is this stranger that has come to the village?

Chapter 3
More trouble for Katatsu, nothing seems to be going right!

Chapter 4
The tournament is tomorrow and Katatsu's troubles are multiplying. A fighter from another village decides to test Katatsu.

Chapter 5
It's time for the tournament and another vision comes to disturb Katatsu. Along with the other fighter, the healer, and Katatsu fighting as champion of the village, it looks to be a long day.

Vignettes:

Parippen Pokari Da (Bringing Life to the Fields)
This is the full (human/English) version of Mushi's chant that appeared in chapter 3 of my fic "Even the Blessed." This is a work chant that the Namek-jin in my fic perform while taking care of their crops. The full version is after the translation.

Wishing on Dreams
*SPOILER* A very short fic that I wrote, then decided I would include in the main body of the saga as a flashback. It provides a touch of background for a character.

Egg-sitting
Ok, this story is sort of complete. Mostly there is a bit at the end which I haven't polished and edited, though it does finish out the plot. A young Mushi and Katatsu have a little adventure.
